How To Use It
Malabari Sambar: Pressure cook soaked toor dal with vegetables such as drumstick, brinjal, and pumpkin for two to three whistles. Separately, temper mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, whole red chillies, and curry leaves in coconut oil, then sauté grated coconut until golden brown.
Add asafoetida and onion, followed by red chilli powder, coriander powder, tomato, and tamarind paste. Combine the cooked dal and vegetables with this base, then add three tablespoons of Orika Sambhar Masala. Simmer for five minutes in a closed vessel before serving.
